So how much do you make of this site?
We make almost nothing. It's a community service started in some Usenet newsgroups.
The top banner belongs to the site who supplies the free site. The only banner making us anything
is the mypoints one. When you click it and join the program, we get a 100 points. Which are
redeemable into gift certificates for eg. Chili's. Now a $10 gift certificate is about 1750 points.
Which goes to show how much money we make. *grin*

Why did you make this site?
As stated above, it all started in some ICQ related Usenet newsgroups. Some people got fed up by
AOL updating their ICQ's with banners without so much as notifying them. So steps were taken to
fix this. As the majority of ICQ users rarely visits newsgroups, the idea of settings up a webpage
as a repository for all the solutions, tips and tricks to deal with these banners was born. So this
site came into being.

Can you guys deal with other spyware software?
No, we limit ourselves to ICQ, but there are some excellent tools to check other programs
for spyware. Such as Ad-Aware and
OptOut. Both are free even.

Does AOL/ICQ sanction this site?
We don't know as we haven't asked them. *grin* FTR, we have no affiliation with either AOL or ICQ/Mirabilis.

Why aren't you answering my feedback?
We have indications that AOL is not to happy with this site. So we would rather not
get identified by them. But rest assured, all guestbook entries and feedback is read and
acted upon within 24 to 48 hours. Schedule and workload permitting.

Why are there no mirrors?
Don't worry, if AOL manages to get this site shut down, there are plenty more 'free homepage' sites
all around the world where we can put it up within hours. It may take a few days but the world will get out about the
new URL we are sure.
